Shared-prosperity.
Promoting the collective and individual prosperity of our members using every legitimate means especially the promotion of entrepreneurial skills and potentials.
The legitimate means shall include:
• Business seminars and clinics.
• Trade fairs.
• Investment schemes.
• Financial skill workshops.
• Building business and professional linkages through the creation of business and professional groups.
• All other strategies that will create business and professional opportunities for the members.
• Welfarism.
Welfarism as a manifesto is to promote the social, financial and mental wellness of the members of the association and Yoruba migrants in South Africa as a whole.
- Economic Empowerment
This is to enhance the capacity of our members to participate in, contribute and benefit from the economic growth processes in ways that recognise the value of their contributions, respect their dignity and make it possible for them to have a fair share of the benefits of the economy growth and development by raising incomes and standards of living through skills acquisitions and talent development.
- Nation Building
This entails the deliberate and targeted unshackling and mobilization of the individual and collective talents, resources, expertise, energies of our members and people of Yoruba migrant community for the task of building the physical, social and economic development of Yorubaland in particular and Nigeria as a whole. It shall also entail the promotion and projection of national culture, and the collective identity of people of Yoruba extraction. This shall be achieved through the following means-
- Attracting foreign capital into South West region and country via foreign investment especially FDIs and FPIs;
- Converting the brain-drain syndrome to ‘brain-gain’ through talent-spotting for nation building;
- Promoting a collaborative synergies between the Diaspora and home region and Nigeria as a federation;
- Promoting technological transfer.
- Unity
Strengthening the bond of fellowship amongst the members, Yoruba people and Nigerians as a whole through burden-sharing, caring, showing of empathy and brotherhood and importantly, promoting the team-spirit.
- Advocacy
Protecting and defending the interests of the members and Yoruba migrant community as a whole against abuses from agencies of Nigerian government and that of our host country.
- Image Laundering
As one of the mandates of the association, efforts will be made to project and promote positive image of Nigeria and Nigerians in our host nation by promoting social and cultural linkages between Nigeria and South Africa as sovereign nations and their nationals.
- Social Responsibility
As a framework for discharging our social obligations, the members through the association shall endeavour to develop a positive relationship with our host community and nation as a whole by acting for the benefit of the society at large. This social responsibility shall be discharged through the following means-
- Empowerment of the less-privileged in the society
- Medical outreaches to some of the locations
- Feeding of the hungry
- Every other means possible
- Social Fellowship
